During the month of September MTC Powder solutions (MTC PS) recorded its largest order intake in a single month over the company’s entire history for Powder Metallurgy Hot Isostatic Pressed (PM HIP) components. This new record has followed on the back of a series of new investments to increase production capacity in the Surahammar facility. These investments have been key to extending the strategy of being able to meet customer needs and demands and expand to the current rates we are achieving.

“This level of order volume in a single month, which is almost the same level as we would have seen in a whole year a few years ago, is a significant milestone for us.  However, more importantly it provides confirmation that we have taken the right investment choices and will continue to do so in the future.” Commented Magnus Nyström, Managing Director at MTC PS.

The increased order volumes have been seen across all markets of interest. This signals that many industries are rapidly recovering from the downturn caused by the pandemic, and we feel this is a key sign for a positive future for the company continuing the growth of Near-Net Shaped HIP components (NNS HIP).
